Reconciliation of recommendations of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner

May 26 2021

In early 2020 a review was commenced by the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner to understand what recommendations had been made by previous Road Safety Camera Commissioners and if they had been implemented.

The review included the recommendations of published Investigation and Annual Reports from 2012 until December 2020.  102 recommendations were identified within scope. This report focuses on 34 general recommendations made by various Commissioners that were flagged as having an open or unknown status.

ORSCC worked with the relevant government agencies to monitor progress and understand the challenges they faced in implementing some recommendations. This report identifies common themes that arise in the recommendations; the progress made toward finalising outstanding recommendations and the priorities and opportunities for each agency.
